Well last night I brought home a puppy. She is a beautiful little hound dog. Floppy ears and wrinkly face. She doesnt have a name yet and looked half starvin when we finally got her home. A very close friend is a vet and she will do all the shots and check ups. But I have one problem............ a name. I was thinkin something southern since she is a hound dog, like jessabell, or clementine, but nothing seems to stick or ring right. My wife says ottis, but I say people would call her odie and I dont want that. So if you guys have any good ones bring'em on. And I'll have pics soon. Also note it took me almost 2 months to name my other dog Mr. Fonzi.

Blood Hound, Basset Hound, Coon Hound? The Hound group has quiet a few breeds.

We had a 80lbs 7 month old pup in at work the other day. Straight tan Blood Hound, his name was Moose.

Cant think of anything southern that would sound right for a dog.

I always wanted a English Bull Dog and name it either Dunstin or Winston. You know, something English sounding?

Could always name it Blue, thats popular for hounds though:rolleyes: ;) .

Check out this link. Its for baby boys and girls but you can use some for a dog.

Ripped camel that is freakin hilarious. I really dont know what kinda hound she is. Some people in fort scott Kansas were givin pups away at the gas station. Another family member was there and sent me a pic. Well I used to have a rhodesian ridgeback blood hound mix named Eddie and she was my best friend for a while. So hound dogs of all kinds seem to have a spot in my heart. I love there droopy faces and that bow wow wow bark they have. I'm still rackin my brain for ideas and just fall blank.

I was lookin at the link you posted and seen the name Dixie. I like that alot but we will see what the wife says. keep ideas comin though.

Savannah.

Thats what I would name a female Hound if I wanted it to sound southern.

What diet are you going with? They need a good one for the skin problems they can have and for the growth spirts they have.

I just wanna suggest Taste Of The Wild. Good food, accompany that with a lean raw diet in cycles or Natures Variety Frozen Raw.

Some of the most amazing dogs I have seen in the sporting and working group have been fed entire carcasses, either water foul or poultry.

But most wives dont go for that:D

Kibbles and bits the same thing I've always fed Fonzi. I never buy the cheap stuff cause my vet friend would hunt me down.

nash, clint, ol'blue, duke, hambone, nelson, winston droopy, cujo, dixon,little-louie, willie, lonsome, long john, rosco, mondo just to name a few:D

It's a girl? kibbles no bitts, leakin' mar kate,(It's french:shifty: ) noob, mark eight nipples, I'll come up with more.

Well feed what you wish but Kibbles N Bits?

Thats one of the cheapest of cheaps. Equivalent to Alpo.

Good luck and do get these pics up!

I like Dioge (pronounced D O G with the emphasis on O).
