Just got done last night. Not difficult to do at all. Right side Banjo BLOCK needed grounding down. I have 17's and they clear by about 1/16 inch. Its that close. Drives well put on about 100 miles today and as I was coming home the brake light came on. Any ideas?

Reservoir is prolly low.....go check it and put some more fluid in. If it is not low, then it is possible that you might have an air pocket in the lines and need to take care of that PRONTO! :D

Thanks guys, I will double check. The brakes feel good and I thought I did a complete job on bleeding them. BUT??? Thanks again.

Greg

Did you have a set of rotor re-drilled, or do you have cobra hubs?

What brand/model wheels are those?

Had Brembos re-drilled. As for the wheels Sears specials, going on 3rd summer with them. I'm not sure what they are called.

Looks great, how much was it, if you don't mind me askin'...
Calipers 218.00 total. Brembo's 336.00, included re-drilling & shipping. I will be doing the back ones when I get my kit from the guy from the thunderbird forum.

Ouch.

Try www.tirerack.com for the brembos, I think they're around 110/pr but I might be mistaken for a buy it now ebay auction I saw.

edit: sorry I was off about ten bucks or so > http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/resu...odel=Mustang+Cobra&autoYear=2003&autoModClar=

try www.ebay.com for the mach 1 calipers/pads. They're the same thing, oem, brand new, without the "cobra" on them, and are alot cheaper.

poniesviii,

Cool, I appreciate the info. The rotors? Well, I guess I paid to much. That will happen. I pointed out what I paid in an earlier thread, I commented that its not all about the money. Convenience, the guy drilled them out for me for $30.00 bucks (I didn't have to call around or drive) to have what I needed. I noticed that some cheap prices had high shipping as well.

The calipers, I specifically wanted cobra (you no, the car theme). I got them off of ebay.

Again, thanks for your input and you make some very good points.

Hey man, I wasn't tryin to come off as an ass :D though after re reading I relize I might have. Others reference to this so I figured I would give input..

I haven't yet performed the brake upgrade so I make sure to hit up everything with info on it.

I also notice yours are cross drilled/slotted and that's preferred by some, so yes it depends on what you're going for :) Solid rotors dissipate heat better but you'd probably have to rash on your brakes pretty good and consecutively to notice a difference on a street car. Slotted rotors eat pads and don't dissipate heat at all, they're said to 'clean the pad from glazing' which is pretty unlikely especially on a street car but some people like the cosmetic appearance! Who'd want a car without paint, right. lol.

And it looks good being so close. I like when a rotor fills up the wheel a good amount.

Man that looks rediculous HOTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The wheels look awesome with the red bolts, the Cobra emblem, lowered...etc..etc... That is a VERY hot ride!

:) It was low fluid. The left banjo bolt was leaking a bit. Took it off and cleaned it. I think that did the trick.:)

Looks frikkin awesome. I dont care much for the badge, I dont believe they should be on anything except a real cobra. I had a friend with a fox mustang will a lot of cobra parts and I didnt even like the badge on that car.

Yea, I've noticed allot of people don't think its right. But I walk my own It direction.:runaway: It was the beginning of the cobra motor and I'm not trying to make it a Mustang Cobra. My goal is to put a 03 Cobra motor in it. Then I will have my version of a Mark VIII Cobra.:headbang: I personally don't see anything wrong about it. But, I respect your opinion. To each his own.

BTW, Where are the PICS of your car? I checked your garage and there is nothing parked in it. What year is yours? Also, what does Dern Humpus mean? just curious.
