I currently drive a 1993 Infiniti G20 and want to get a new car within the next few months. I love my G and want to go turbo badly, but the little things are killing me right now. I understand a 12 year old car is going to have some issues, but I want something that will last me for 5 years without being a giant burden.

Right now my list is: Newer G20 that was taken better care of by the previous owner. Lincoln LS V6 five speed, Lexus GS 300 five speed, Creampuff E30. I know the E30's are older cars, but the most anal car owners I have ever seen drive bimmers and I hang out with some hardcore BMW owners that can get me a nice one. The Lincoln is really what I want right now, it is just a matter of finding one from the southwest.

I have to admit I was a bit surprised when I found this site, but it is a nice find.

Thanks
Doug

If you have any leads on a five speed LS link me up please. Want to spend maybe 15K.

Although no car is flawless I have heard few complaints from the 5spd owners and you should have trouble buying the car for 15 or under but finding one will be the test. Shop ebay and keep poking around here eventually someone here that owns one will want to upgrade.

The 01 or 02 is the sweet spot but if you have to settle for an 00 you wont be missing much. Welcome to the forum and good luck on finding your 5spd. You will not find turbos or many other peformance mods on this car just yet though.

There was a 5 spd LS on Ebay about 2 weeks ago. It was pulled in the middle of the auction. It's "buy it now" was around 10k, I believe. I tried doing a search on it, but I can't even find it anymore.

Good luck in your search. It seems that now is a good time to buy 2000/2001 models. The prices on Ebay have come way down over the last month. Of course, finding the 5 spd might take some time.

They are in autotrader for 10-14k all day. It is just a matter of finding one that has never seen roadsalt. I have time to look so I can just wait for the right one. As far as forced induction goes I'd do a centrifugal s/c or a muffler mounted turbo. Low boost (under 7 lbs.) of course. I did read about the turbocharged V8 and that is very cool. I'd talk to that guy about tuning mine maybe. Maybe one day.

Hey! I bought that car!!. It's immaculate too. I was looking for a manual LS to replace my Audi. I managed to find that one on e-bay AND it was in my home town, Dallas! Imagine the odds. I paid about $12K for it....probably too much, but I was up against time constraints..So far the only problemis that I don't think the cruise control works.
