Hello I just got a silver 2001 Lincoln LS with a 3.9L V8. Im trying to shave a few seconds off of the Quarter mile time, and decrease the 0-60 acceleration to about 5-6 seconds if possible. I also want to make this car look as sweet as I can.

Im a complete noobie to this sort of thing so I have no idea what to buy or even look into.

I am willing to spend around 5 thousand to help me get what I want, so any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Well, first of all welcome. As for performance items you should try the induction kit from KKM and an exhaust system from Magnaflow to start. That should get you about 20-30 HP. Also, you should look into the SCT PCM Xcal II flasher. You can get custom tunes that can range from 5-20 HP. Remember, the LS does not have a "chip" like other cars. You have to modify the software inside the PCM which the SCT will do.

We sell quite a bit of aftermarket items for the Lincoln LS. You can browse our site at www.lskoncepts.com/store to see what is available. Also, if you join up on LvC here as a gold member you get a 10% discount on all products in our store.

Again, welcome!

Ok thanks for the link and suggestions. I was looking at them, and thats a good start, but there dont seem to be too many parts...Am I going to end up spending around 2,000 and then running out of things to do to it performance wise? Also, on another forum someone mentioned swapping engines, but this si my first car, and Iv never done anything like this so any help on those two topics will be appreciated.

Thanks again!

With enough money and time anything is possible. The only successful engine swap that I know of is the Lincoln team's One Lap of America Lincoln LS.
