Hi everyone - Al here...
still have an 01 LS V8, also had an 05 LS v8 sport - perferred 01 and kept it. now also have 08 MKZ
01's gone thru it's stuff -
ball joints, Stabilizer bushings at 25000 (sounded worse than my 82 TnCar at 13 years)
1 coil, then another, then 6 more.
now that wacky dual control control valve needs repair - stalling on that
and SURPRISE - no warning, just lost reverse at 85000 miles after nice 3 hour drive about NYC. sitting in driveway. posting separate Qn on this on the LS Site
