new ls owner

i have just recently purchased a 2002 ls when i bought it it had a hole in block from rod failure i have recently installed another engine and i have some weird issues and need some help. when key is turned to on engine off during light check i have no engine abs or air bag light and when i start engine the tach only reads when you rev up engine and the speedometer reads way slow when driving 40 mph is about as high as it goes. leaning tword pcm anyone have any ideas before i try replacing pcm

first thing i would do, would be to scan the car and see what codes come up.

then I would pull the cluster apart and make sure there are not bulbs missing or blown out.

The PCM is not a factor for the SRS light or for the ABS light not coming on (a PCM problem can cause the light to come on, but it can't keep it from proving out).

I have replaced the bulbs in the cluster and now they work but when i scan the pcm i get random codes each time and usually are always different i drove the car up the road and i has a slight miss but no check engine light and the tach and speedo are still wrong and the trans only shifts up to 3rd gear any ideas
