I just bought one of my favorite cars in the whole world. A 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII. I wanted an LSC, but I got such a good deal on this one, that I couldn't resist. I was looking for this year in White, Silver or Red on Criagslist. I found somebody that said they had one with a blown head gasket and they just wanted it off of their driveway. They said it hadn't run at all since August. So I bought it for dirt cheap. I knew that these cars almost never blew head gaskets, so I risked it. I found a replacement motor cheap should I need that one. The towing company brought it to me the next day. I looked on the dipstick and the oil did not look like it had water in it. I checked a couple of plugs, and they looked good too. The battery was completely dead, so I jumped it with my truck. It turned over, but not start. So I looked more carefully under the hood and it looked like there was a vacuum leak in a hose. I fixed that and it fired right up. I then put all new oil and fluids in it. It also has 18 x 9 rims, but one tire had a flat spot and 3 of them were different brands. I bought 4 new tires, had them balanced and aligned and it drive real sweet. There were some scuffs on the corners and one will need to be filled. But I buffed out most of the scuffs. I'ts clean as a whistle right and now. It runs good and handles very nicely. I have plenty of plans for it. I had built a 1996 T-Bird years ago and put a Eaton blower on it. I had also tricked out the suspension greatly. I'm probably going to keep my Lincoln NA and avoid forced induction. I also just got some drilled and slotted rotors for all 4 wheels. I'll put them on this weekend and I'm also going to polish and wax the whole car. The next mod is a track lock 3.73 differential. I'm still debating what other mods I'll do, but this is gonna be fun. I had intended to buy any nice Lincoln Mark VIII. But.......This baby only cost me $500. Yeah, you read that right. It's a miracle!

Nice base,
I went 4.10s and a tune.
These cars respond well to a gear change.
