Unfortunately I'm having a few issues with my new car! My 1997 LSC got delivered today. With a bad battery. So I went to Advance Auto and bought a battery and tossed it it. The battery light comes on or flickers sometimes at idle if there is a load on it (brakes applied, lights on ect.) My volt meter is at work, so I wont be able to verify anything until tomorrow. Is this gonna be a simple alternator issue, or any chance this isn't a simple diagnosis? Issue two, my windshield washer button is effed up. I think I saw somewhere that this is serviceable. I searched but everything I found was fluid level sensor related. My third issue I believe is a blend door issue. Could some one direct me to some testing and or servicing info. I searched but my findings seemed to be all people that were scared they might have to do it.

First off, if he didn't disclose those issues i'd be giving the dealer/po a call.

I'd vote alternator but check it with your ddm. Take it in to be tested if need be.

Windshield washer button can be bought seperately used off ebay for around 20-25 bucks. New they are only offered with the entire switch.

Thanks! After I check the voltage output of the alternator I'm gonna call the guy I bought it from. I'd like to get back the money it's gonna take to make the car what he claimed it was. At least for the parts, battery, alternator, blend door, WW button; that's about $400 worth of parts.

A couple of other things I was wondering about! One is keys and key fobs. It came with one key and one busted up, not working key fob. What do i need to know to get additional keys and fobs? Another thing it iPod integration, is there any easy what to do it on these? This car has the in dash CD player, and none in the trunk.

$400 sounds like a good solid number. :)

Either of those part #'s will work.

To program (Those peanut style key fobs suck, get the square ones)

I' not sure about the ipod.

My washer button was missing , was unable to find a affordable replacement. Installed a small push button switch in the left side of instrument bezel and wired it to the two washer wires going to to the wiper control module. Works like original button would have. Also have replaced and modified blend door actuator. Lot of info available with photos of dashboard removal enough to get to it.

Thanks for posting up your fix. If you ever decide to put it back on the stalk a member sells the button for $20~.

P.s. No need to bump any more old threads with the fix, they should pop up in the search. Thanks again for letting us all know there is another option! :)
