Yes, I'm known a Yooper! I have wanted a LS for a while when I finally found one. At first it was going to be a winter car when my Mitsubuishi 3000GT VR4 went into storage for the winter(I know it's a ricer car but it is so fun to drive, 4wheel drive, 4 wheel steer, active aero, etc) So the more I looked for high mileage LS I realized that I really like the V8 LSE. I have been looking for one and finally located one and am picking it up this weekend. It's a 2002 LSE, black with gray interior, rear spoiler and factory chrome rims. He is also throwing in the set of winter tires and rims. The car is in incredible shape and only has 73K miles. The car has a clean carfax report and he has not had any issues with it. He said when he first got it the dealer replaced the valve gaskets because of the typical leaking. No problem since.
My history is that I grew up with my family owning the oldest Ford dealership in the Upper Peninsula. Great grandfather started selling the car known as the EMF in 1908 (they had to put them together to sell). They picked up Ford around 1911. The Dealership was in the family until me. My parents did not want to be a dealer because of all the headaches of a small dealership. I worked there growing up and even took a few years off of college to see if I wanted to be a dealer. I told them to sell it and now I'm Project Engineer designing shipboard equipment and elevaors for our Navy. Still am a bit loyal to Ford, have 2003 Expediton Eddie Bauer (wife), Mitsubishi 3KGT VR4 (summer car) and a 94 Grand Prix (winter beater) and this weekend I can add the 2002 Lincoln. In the past i owned a 66 Mustang, 83 Mustang GLX convertible and an 88 Mustang GT convertible.
