I've been reading threads here since I got my LS a year and half ago. Finally decided to participate. I knew nothing about the LS until I was looking to buy a new car and coming from a Lincoln family I decided to get one myself. I was not impressed with anything new so I started looking at used Lincolns which is when I found out about the LS. I had to have one.
Mine is an 04 LS Sport with the 280 hp. V8, silver, 17 inch wheels, moon roof, 6cd changer, select shift (which I absolutely enjoy to death), etc.
I have a friend that races a 98 Viper (and is a certified race instructor) and he drives a M6 Beemer. His first statement was - 'why would you buy an old persons car?', but he changed his tune when he saw the LS and he couldn't believe the power at take-off when he took it out for a test run. He said he has never driven an automatic with a transmission that shifts so quick and tight.
Well, my LS is no M6 but I am not shy to take on a 3series or 5series Beemer.
