Greetings et.al,
I am a retired mechanical designer. Worked for 42-yrs at Lubrizol in Cleve. I am 6 foot five and have a large frame. Cars that are comfortable to enter and ride for any length of time is not always the case. I have always liked cars that have get up and go.
So I fell in love with the 94-97 Sevilles w/NorthStar engines. I like the body style before they changed them in 98. I have plenty of head room and leg room. Car, when behaving, is a joy to drive. I do a lot of Thru-way traveling from Ohio to Findley Lake N.Y. , typically get 24-26 mpg, not the best nowadays but it is liveable for a car of this size and performance.
I own two 94s and a 99 which I inherited when my Mother passed last March. Not really crazy about the 99 even tho it is low milage and in great shape as she only drove it occasionaly over the years. I think it has 68-K. Probably will end up trading it in.
I am looking for help on several issues.
1. On the 94 I drive regularly I am experiencing errattic blower operation. Blows in Econ, Auto, all speeds when it decides to blow. Takes frequent naps and usually naps at the worst times i.e. 90 degrees out, or in winter when you need heat and defroster. When it does nap, I have noticed that if I stop and turn the key off, then retart it wakes up and works for hours, days, month, but will eventually quit again. (first attempt to fix this I repaced the blower motor)
Well, I don't want to wear out my welcome so I will stop here. I wish to thank you for free registration.
Best Regards,
Stephen
