I found this site about 3 months ago while searching for help on repairing our LS. This site has proven to be a valuable resource so I decided to join and wanted to first send out a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has provided information on this site. I look forward to getting to know more of you and sharing information.
I found this site while searching for help on changing our 02 LS spark plugs. When I finally found the cause of our problem, misfire, I decided to go get some new spark plugs, opened the hood pulled out the first 3 and then scratched my head. Couldnt figure out where in the heck the other 3 were. Finally after finding this site, I was able to replace the other 3. But because I am ignorant I decided not to listen to the advice of replacing the coils while I was in there. Car ran great for about 2 weeks and then began misfiring again. Leason learned.
When I finally replaced the plugs, I also followed the advice of checking out the EGR, Dirty as hell, got it cleaned and cleaned the entire upper intake, replaced the upper intake gaskets and put a new one one the EGR. This fixed the problem I was having. But new problems began shortly after. I have some photo's of what I am currently working on and will post another thread shortly.
