NEW Navteq DVD for LS Navigation System For Sale

I just bought a NEW 2005 LS V8 with the Nav system and as I was driving off the Lincoln lot the salseman walked over and gave me a new DVD in a package for the Nav system and said it may be a later version and he was giving it to me.

So, I have installed it and I can't tell if there is any difference? But I now have this extra DVD that came in the car and its out of a new Lincoln LS that I bought 22 days ago.

If anyone wants it, I'll let it go cheap. They are are $165 from Navteq (I called and asked this morning). Make an offer and I'll send it out, bubble wrapped in a small box for protection.

If there is no interest I'll throw it on eBay on Saturday.

what version are you selling? "map release 3D" or "map release 4d"?

How do I know what release it is?

says on bottom left of the jewel case on the cover and also on the DVD disc itself. you may have to take the jewel case OUT the wrap that binds it to the manual. IIRC the DVD has it's own shrink wrap on it too but I'm nott 100% sure.

It says exactly this on the DVD case:

"FLM Navigation System-North America Map-Release 1P-Ford Lincoln Mercury"

On the cover is Henry FORD standing next to a Model T and its says FORD Motor Company on the cover of the DVD case.

I've never heard of that. Very strange. Have you tested it? Sounds like could be wrong one

This is what has been running in the car, of course it works. Its a brand new LS with 800 miles on it. The DVD worked perfect.

from the map screen, push "NAV MENU" (lower left), then push "Navigation Setup"...the push "MAP VERSION" let me know what it says. thanks

my mother has the same car w\package and they gave her a dif cd than the one shes supposed to have but hers definatly works

If I go to the Nav system screen it says:

Navteq Version 5.0 (2005)

The cd jewel case reads: "Map Release 1P".

This is on the screen where it has the Lincoln Mercury customer service numbers. And the Lincoln roadside assistence number.
