So as most know, I'm into electronics and like to tinker. So I've been working on trying to make a wigwag kit for my taillights or my reverse lights. Something that would make a person more noticeable on the side of the highway at night if I had to change a flat or whatever. Too many times have I been damn near run over because other idiot motorists can't change lanes and be courteous.

Most states have the change lanes or slow-down for emergency vehicles law, but most drivers just ignore the typical hazard lights on regular cars. So why not make your car appear more like an emergency vehicle, just for safety sake.

Now I know that using these while driving is illegal and that is not my intention and I also know that a person can purchase a kit and then install it but where is the fun in that?

WigwagsIf the video above doesn't work, follow this link. I'll still have to integrate it into the car and figure the wiring out there but I'd like these to come on when I shift the car in reverse as well as have a switch to enable them from within the car for those emergency needs
.

Looks cool. I had never hear the term "wigwag" before.

As you mentioned, using them while on a public road is illegal... I dont see anyone writing you a ticket for using them in an emergency or during a roadside repair though.

Nice build! Can't wait to see them in action on your car.

Did that on my 97 Thunderbird for all of 7 bucks and bout a half hours time back when I had it. Gifs give a basic idea, the lights alternated like that with either hazards or turn signals on. Also for the rears, the running lights would have both corner and middle section lit up, applying the brakes put all the signal to the corners and the centers went dark.
