Dont try to chisel pry the hub out if you are doing the work yourself. Hammer out the lug studs and use 7/16" bolts and spacers to press the hub out. Makes the job much easier.

I'm thinking the Hub will come out rather easily as it was put in just 3000 miles ago. I have no idea why it has failed already. I plan on returning it to the shop that did the work (for the PO) and see if they will honor their 1-yr warranty.

Could it be because it was a cheap white box part which they got from eBay, just thinking here?

I of course, would have no way of knowing. The invoice indicates the PO was charged $136.60 for the Hub. Given that most repair shops double the price they pay, one could assume it was originally $68.30, which would put it in the price range of having came from AutoZone or O'Reilleys.
