Green Machine

My first stab at working on the motor on my Mark VIII.
I bought a brand new set of MSD Superconductor 8.5 Plug wires off of Ebay and got a fresh set of Autolite Copper 764's for my newly aquired Green Machine.
Not knowing how many miles were on the plugs that were in there, or their condition, it was high time to find out.
Thank you very much Kustomizingkid for the info on changing plugs. it went well and i didnt strip any threads on the aluminum heads. would of been a major PITA without a locking extension on the ratchet.
pulled out the old set of champions that were in there and decided to see what the gap was at. it was a major gaper! .068, .065, .070 on one of them. they have been in there a long time! no wonder why it didnt giddyup like it was supposed to.
got it all done, fired right up and she idled nicely. took her around the block for a spin and when i pulled out of my driveway i punched it....LMAO, I smoked the back tire for 75 ft. and she had a lot more pull on midrange. made a uturn and came back home. cant wait to drive it more. cant till i get the brakes fixed.
the previous owner said he replaced the front rotors, calipers and pads but the ABS and Traction asst light is on now. i think i need to have a code scan done to see what the problem is. it pulls to the right when you step on the brakes and then back to the left when you let up. i dunno.
I hope to post more soon!
