I have looked @ other forums on this site and I didnt find what exactly I was looking for. I was considering changing door speakers only (non-audiophile) they will not be amped. I want some 6.5 comps. Should I do it since there will be no amp? I know the sound imporvement would be big if I had one but @ this time Im not changing my HU. A friend of mine has audiobahn comps 6.5 for a very good price. I dont know if it is worth my money. What do you audio experts reccommend? (Dont want to spend a lot of money) The factory speakers sound pretty good for an OEM speaker. Is it worth it? :L

Personally I am not a fan of Audiobahn, especially ther speakers.

Is cist the reason for not wanting to amp? Cause you can usually find a 2ch amp very cheap if you look around.

You may be better off going with some coax speakers if you are just running off the HU.

Why do you not like audiobahn? what brand do you reccommend CIST???. :L

if you are just swaping door speakers - they are driven off the headunit itself - so it's just a direct swap. the stock are 5"x7"

I have not, and my friends have not had good experiences with that company.

They are primarily known for their subs and amps, and mainly because of looks, not quality. Now, their higher end stuff can be good as long as it's in the proper box with proper power, but again, they are known for subs and amps, not speakers.

There are a lot of other companies out there that are better for speakers. If you can tell me what kind of a budget are you looking at I can give you an idea as to where you might want to start your looking. Also, there are a ton of good deals out there online, just shop around, or if you find some that you think are the ones you want post it up on here, I know of some good sites to buy from, or at least price match through. (I have never paid even 50% of retail when it comes to car audio)
