The new Taurus SHO is getting underway. I have heard that they will be building some next month in Chicago. They will have the new Eco Boost engines and the paddle shifted six speeds. Release to public supposed to be around April 09. They already have over a hundred engines ready to go.

Good to hear. I still wish I had bought an early model, loved that Yamaha V-6 and 5-speed combo in a mundane looking Taurus, a true sleeper.

Nice to hear but do you honestly think they wil stick to the paddle shift?

It would be odd that FORD will use a car such as the Taurus to put the paddle shifts in and not some other model cars out today

I wish they would just put in a good old standard six speed manual.

so let me start by saying sorry for doubting you. I do a lot of work at that plant and even more in the next couple months and had no idea of the paddle shifter. I just looked it up on the build sheet to see for my own eyes and sure enough. I'll keep an eye out for one next time I go.

Nice, this new era of boosted Ford's is getting me excited. A true manual would be more fun even if paddles are faster but oh well.
