New to LVC

Hi everyone, I currently own a 1997 Ford Taurus GL with the 3.0 Vulcan V6. It has about 176k miles on it, but I may have to replace it soon because of an oil leak and possible problems with the transmission and torque converter.

I chose the name TaurusSHO because when I made a Playstation 3 online account back in 2009, I planned to get a 1997 Ford Taurus SHO (I used TaurusSHO97) and I've used this name on everything else. But as time went on I could never find one in good condition, or if it was it had extremely high mileage, so I've all but given up my hope of getting one.

You can also find me as a regular poster on the Motor Trend forums. The #1 car on my shopping list to replace the Taurus is a Lincoln Town car. Here's the one I would get right now.

watch those V8 SHO's. the cam's have problems unless you weld them. good otherwise.
the rest of the ford's on the list sound solid.
don't know much about the aurora but i like the look of the 01-03s. only oldsmobile i've ever thought of owning.

Id go with the GXP if i were you. We have an 06 impala ss, which is basically the same car, and it has honestly been the best car i have ever owned. oh, and Welcome to LvC!
