Hello there everyone, I just joined up to start getting some info on a new car I'm trying to purchase. The time has come to move on from my beloved 1999 Cougar which I have had for 9 years and absolutely loved, but unfortunately all that fun and games has worn it out beyond its ability, and it's time for it to go to the great garage in the sky.

I am trying to pick up a 2006 Lincoln LS V8. It has about 83,500 miles and is in pretty darn good shape. I actually work at a Ford dealership and have all the service records for the last few years. It has had all new coil boots, spark plugs, and one actual coil replaced, as well as the valve cover gaskets, drivers seat blower, and blower control module all replaced within the last 5,000 miles. Since I'm an employee, I should be getting a very good deal, well under what a walk-in customer would pay. Here's a couple pictures I took from the dealership's website.

A little bit about me. I am 28 years old, single, no kids, never married, and bleed Ford Blue. I've always liked Lincoln's (uncle had a MkVII and MkVIII when I was a kid), and especially the LS. I like NICE cars, which to me is what the LS is. I love spirited driving, something that my Cougar was phenomenal at, but at the same time I've grown out of my "mod crazy" days and just want a nice "tourer" that I would be proud to be seen in.

Anyway, I will have more info if I'm getting this on Monday. In the meantime, I will just browse around and research the car a bit and learn about any issues to be looking for. Any suggestions on what to look for would also be appreciated. Thanks, and fingers crossed I will be "officially" a Lincoln owner on Monday!
