hey everyone, just picked up my 2000 LS (V-8), new to domestic cars like this, im coming off a 1996 BMW 328i, so this is a whole new ball of wax for me.
im looking for detailed specs of the car (i noticed there isnt a 2000 manual in the tech area) common problems, other than the valve covers and ball joints
other info anyone else can put out there for me.....
thanks in advance.

Welcome aboard! You might check ebay for the service manual on CD.

Welcome!:) Kick off your shoes and make yourself at home. Keep your feet off the coffee table. Some of the "older" members can mad about that.

Glad to have you on board if your looking for the manual try here.

i found the dam thing, nice little black case jammed under the disc changer....sneaky little thing, im just looking for a service manual now.
i love the car, alot better than my 328, ride anyways, not as much as a sports car as the 328, but i got board with that bouncy rough ride.
thanks for all the support, i'll be on here asking questions alot im sure.
thanks...

I think as you get used to the car and find out how well it handles and how fast it is you might think it is MORE of a sports car than the 328 with a BETTER ride!

I couldnt have said it any better I have never driven a BMW but from what I have read the LS should be more confident then then any 3 seires short an M.

i had alot of suspension work done on my 328 though, so its a drastic jump, plus the car is so much more bigger than im used to, so i think thats what it is, with a few suspension upgrades i'll make it handle alot better, its due for shocks next spring anyways, so i'll start then....any leads on aftermarket parts...where to get, who makes etc?

Welcome anylouder, are your from C-bus, Ohio? What color is your LS and is it a sport model? Well good luck look here for any aftermarket LS parts.
