Hey everyone, my name is Wayne in Jax. ,Fla.
I have my fathers 1991 T.C. in pristine shape....71,000 miles...garage kept...driven 20 miles in 4 years by me, after my Dad passed.
The stereo doesn't work....( it's a cassette anyway )....so pulled it and have a square 8 pin speaker connector and then the 8 pin ( I think it's 8 ) for power/ground etc. plus tha antennea plug in.
I can't find the male version of the speaker square connector.... ( I have the other correct power plug in).
I stripped the square female speaker connector ( hard to do ) to free up the factory connectors. I now have to splice them into the speaker part of the connector I bought ( again,it has the correct power hookup )......but am unsure if this is the best way to do it.
I can't believe how hard it is to this ...I thought I'd find matching power and speaker aftermarket connectors & just switch this thing out, but can't......all.....due to not finding anywhere a marching male speaker connector.
Any advice before I splice ... Thanks !
