Greetings,

I'm new o the whole modding LS way of life but am no stranger to modding cars in general.

I suppose to start off, my platform of choice is a 2001 LSV8 Sport. The only changes so far is the addition of the WW lip kit, Jag S-Type 17's and debadging the rear lights.

I'm currently intrested in adding the KKM intake and the intake pipe from LSK. This brings me to my first question (this may pertaint to those who have the intake pipe more than those with just hte filter): Is there a noticable difference with the addition of the pipe, or is it mearly a cosmetic mod? I know the filter will help with the restriction and i'm sure the pipe will aid in flow, but i wanted to get a little bit of feedback before committing.

Future mods i'd like to persue are the clearing of the front end (headlights & bumper) with the possible addition of Angel Eyes. White faced gauges, exhaust, and perhaps some other cosmetics.

Now i suppose my 2nd question would be, do a lot of LSers have white-faced gauges? I have a heck of a time viewing my gauges when the sunlight hits them and have been contimplating this mod in hopes of better gauge visability. How about some thoughts? My plans are to persue getting the reverse idiglow (reverse-EL) gauges. My only source is ebay and seem to be a fairly cheap price.

Thanks for the great reading, i've learned a lot in a very short time thanks to this site.

Its all about looks and sound. If your not into displaying the car then dont even bother, use your money for some other mod. I did the stock airbox mod. which is just removing the bottom portion of plastic to allow better flow and allow for a cool air tube thru the infamous bumper "hole". It has alittle better WOT sound but its not a difference you will feel while driving. If you were into drag racing then i guess every millisecond counts, but as a daily driver those mods arent going to do anything but empty your wallet and make you open your hood more :N Welcome though.
