Hello,
Just bought a 2003 LS, 6 cyl with 65,000 miles for $4,600. It appears to be in good condition although a pre purchase check at a local garage did find a minor scale oil leak somewhere around the oil filter area. I live in NY so I'm a little apprehensive about rwd in snow but I figure I got a very competent car for minimal cash outlay so I'll have to live with some of the LS shortcomings.
So far I love the steering and the ventilation system. The seats seem pretty supportive and it's quiet. My daughter who is 17 refused to drive our old minivan to school this year so the LS makes her happy. I can't wait to drive on some curvy rural roads to see if the handling is conducive to a rapid trip.
I have to admit that I was a bit concerned when I saw a great deal of dissatisfaction with the repair frequency on some of the consumer review sites but I've talked to a few LS owners when I see them in parking lots, and they seem pretty happy with the reliability and repair frequency of the car.
