..I don't have an alternative explanation either.
It's convenient that they are released just days before his trip to Indonesia though. While it's reasonable to conclude that there are no coincidences with government, I don't see why these would be manufactured- and if they were, why they'd do in a way that's sloppy enough to be detected based on newspaper prints.
