Man, now adays u can't have any fun in a fast car without the cops on ur tail or neighbors yelling at you. i live in a small town where there is no track or anything like that where you can just have fun in your mark. i don't street race or anything but like some fun once in a while. just wondering what other people are thinking?

No doubt! The little town that I moved into had grown up real fast in the last few years. There is a stretch of road @30miles that is pristine asphalt. It is behind a mountain and the scenery is just right to make blurry. Too bad new homes are goin in back there. Took the fun out of the top end of my Gen II pretty quick.
The traffic in town had grown nasty itself. Not much of a chance of spirited driving, let alone pass the blue hairs out here.

thats all the more reason to do it!

Isn't there a National Institutes of Health study suggesting that the region of the brain that inhibits risky behavior is not fully formed until age 25?

But there is no doubt, conjestion is really limiting the opportunities to enjoy a solid car on a curvy road. I live in a Florida and I can drive fast in a straight line all night. But where's the fun in that. The few curvy roads that exists are heavily populated. It'd be irresponsible to shoot those curves.

Define risky....

or

Is it that many of us, at 25 or under, have/had little of anything to lose?

No, it's a real study having to do with the development of the brain. What it actually means and how it can be applied to the real world is debated, but the study is out there:

Without my due diligence of reading that,(yet) one can make the leap of faith and understand why world militaries choose to enlist young men to go into battle? For the Glory, of course.

You have to find your spots. For curves I go on the road up Sandia peak at times when nobody else is there. For high speed I'll go on another road that's a bit out of town connecting I40 to Rio Rancho in the early morning hours. For drag racing I'm lucky enough to have a track.

im not really like that. i am aware of the fact that people are judgemental. i turn my music down at traffic lights, only hot rod around when i know its safe/appropriate. my neighbor got mad because i usally burn off the last corner to my house. he told me he didnt like it so i stopped... tell his son started telling people that i spray painted someones car up the street. he can suck my balls for all i care now. i have no respect for them.

i hate the damn "DICKS" thay are always messing with me and i dont even do anything anymore. I have had a record back when i was 18 but that was when i had my Z28. "TRYING TO CATH ME RIDIN DIRTY"

cops never hassle me, my lincoln is invisible to them. I'm 26 and cops think i'm 90 driving a lincoln. All I need now is an old man hat to make my disguise complete.
