Hello,
I have read a few threads about this before but no definite resolution. A few of the threads had links to possible fixes which are no longer working links. My LSC will not deliver heat. It had this problem intermittantly last year but now is a full time issue. It just feels to me that the heat or blend door will not open. I don't know how to get to it or even where it is for that matter. The car runs perfectly, shows heat on the temp gauge, but just insists on blowing cold air, no matter what mode setting or temp setting on the system.
Help please!
Regards,
Spanky

I had this problem and it took a dealer to fix it. The entire dash has to be removed I think and there is some sort of actuator that operates the blend door that has to be replaced. Not cheap!
Have you not had the drivers door handle break yet?

The 96 uses an actuator motor and does not have the arm breakage problem that gen II's have. To see if your actuator motor is bad, do the test here:

If it is, the procedure for moving the dash back is the same, but the actuator motor itself needs to be replaced.
