No more Ron Paul and his silly principles

It is wonderful to see that the Republican Party has chosen John McCain as its probable nominee. We won't have to listen to Ron Paul talking about freedom and restoring the Constitution and a sound monetary system anymore.

We can now move on as a nation with open borders, higher taxes, runaway inflation, more manufacturing jobs moving out of America, higher gas prices, a national ID card where our government can keep track of us 24 hours a day, a private banking system called the Federal Reserve system that can cause boom or bust at any time, a 100-year war with Iraq, our troops in every nation.

We won't have to listen to Paul wanting to restore the republic that our forefathers set up. What a waste of time to think we can become a nation of freedoms again. We need to continue paying our income taxes so that we can pay the interest on our national debt. It's great to see that the Republican Party wants to remain status quo and not interrupt any of our systems all in the name of democracy. Congratulations to the Republicans that voted for John McCain.

Ron Paul was not the right guy to champion the cause. Maybe his son will be.

But you are right. We had a chance to take a step forward this election cycle and no matter how it turns out, we will have taken a step or two back.

We are a people of sheeple. Led around by the nose. Hand out. No fortitude. We are losing, and fast.

Within 8 years we will cross over that threshhold of becoming a socialist society. Government will control everything. The people with the hands out will outnumber the people creating the wealth. The money will flow out of this country into new opportunities around the globe and our standard of living will decrease with each new generation.

Looking forward to the future here in America.

But alas, 4 solid years of socialist rule may be just what this Country needs to open it's eyes and see the danger of creeping socialism and how it destroys the fabric of society.

Might tip the scale back in our favor.:shifty:

I believe Ron Paul's biggest problem was that he took everything too far. People wont accept such extensive changes as he proposed. His basic ideas are sound, but he takes them too far and makes himself look a little nutty.

Dont get me wrong, I liked him and voted for him.

Isn't it funny how we have always faught against countries like Cuba and Russia for their Socialist / Communist Principles and that is right where we are headed?

I have to agree. He's not necessarily a total nut but a "little nutty" is a good way to describe him. And he tends to ramble a bit and looses focus of the immediate question, thus he hurts himself because that's when he begins to sound a little nutty.

Yeah, he may have sounded a little nutty. As opposed to John "Kermit the Frog" McCain, who actually is certifiably insane.

Then there's Paul's dumbfounded look when he doesn't hear or understand a question. That's not good either. He looks like a deer caught in headlights.
