My car is a 98 LSC. I was coming back from John's in Vancouver after getting the center caps for the snowflakes he sold me while I get my bumped chrome directionals repaired. Feeling froggy, I stomped it going onto 205 and at first everything is copacetic. Then, at about 70, the traction control light went on and I had no throttle response whatsoever. I coasted to the side, and thinking it is something electrical, I removed then re-connected the battery cable and restarted the car. Same result. Started over, but this time I avoided the secondaries, and it smoothly accelerated to speed. I could not reproduce the problem on the way home. Am I getting the dreaded intake runner problem? I was under the impression this was a GenI specific malady? I just took contact cleaner to all my connections. Did I FUBAR one of these? Confusion reigns as I do not want my dear wife to have this happen to her. For some reason, she likes driving it, and this is a first. I don't want her budding horsepower jones curbed in any way. Help.
