No Signals

I don't have any signals what so ever. Also when I turn on the car, I am hearing this high pitch audible sound coming from the glove box area. It beaps a number of times and decreases each time until ultimatly it is finished. I've seen a few posts, but no real fix for this. Does anyone have any ideas about this?
