ok so im fairly new here but need some help. i just did a pcv tube replacement on my 05. i replaced the tube, valve, 1 coil and 2 spark plugs. I know thats kinda random but i replaced the coil because it broke when i pulled it to check the plug. i replaced that plug and the next one in line but the back coil looked a little iffy and i didnt want to chance breaking it due to lack of parts to fix it. i reassembled everything and started the vehicle. it started but was idling rough and went straight to limp mode with no throttle response. im doing this on my own and could use all the help i could get. thanks in advance

You say "limp mode," but I suspect that this is not true due to your title of "no throttle response."
Is the ETC (Electronic Throttle Control) failsafe light on?

This is the ETC failsafe light.

There are lots of possible causes, and a bad or cheap coil is one of those. You may want to invest in a $20 OBDII adapter and download Forscan, so that you can reduce the guessing.

General rule with the V6, replace all 3 inaccessible plugs and coils when you have the intake off. Also, look for problems with the re-assembly. Ensure that the PCV tubing is fully installed and sealed as this also leads to rough idle if anything is disconnected or cracked. If your car has the throttle body tubing that connects to the pcv pipe at the rear of the engine using large diameter pipe to the 8 mm plastic tubing couplers using rubber transition adapters to connect the PCV pipe and throttle body fitting to the small plastic pipe, check for hidden cracks. I drove for a few years with one of mine cracked, but I am not positive on how this is set up on 2nd generation V6s.

But getting back to the electronic throttle control error, bad coils can also induce rf interference into the ETC circuitry. You may also get that error if you don't have the throttle body connected properly, so make sure that you re-check everything. Did you remove the HVAC cabin air filter and housing when you pulled the intake? I have heard that it may be possible to remove the intake without removing that and the shock tower to firewall brace, but there is so much back there with harnesses and connectors that I can't imagine doing it that way.

yeah i did pull the cabin air filter along with the nest that came out with it... lol im pretty sure everything was hooked back up properly. the car is about 2 hours away from me in a garage bc i dont have off street parking where i live. ill be back down there tuesday. gonna order all new coils and plugs and try this again.

This is a definite possiblity. The pins on the TB will break if you look at them wrong.

There have been a few members on here that have bent/broken at least one pin on the TB when re-inserting the plug... both on the v6 and v8.
