I have an '04 LS V8 with 29000 miles on it. Recently I've noticed a whining type noise when accelerating. The noise sounds like its coming more from the transmission then from the motor. You can barely hear the noise under light acceleration but it gets alot louder under harder acceleration, especially above 3500 RPMs. Its a loud whining sound, you can hear it in the car and outside the car, it doesn't make the noise in park or neutral. Do you guys have any ideas what it might be. Thanks.
