Hello all. Just taking a few minutes to introduce myself while I try and pass the time waiting for my 97 LSC to get delivered. I had a 93 Jack Nicklaus Town Car for a few years that I sold a few years ago and regret. Decided I needed to get back into a Lincoln. I was gonna finish up and sell off some projects to fund another Town Car and was starting to watch ebay and craigslist to get a good handle on pricing. Well, I kept seeing VIII's and I decided to go that route instead of a TC. Found one in Georgia. Low mile 1997 LSC in Toreador Red over black with a sun roof. It's got some minor body damage that I hope can be straightened out easily. The timing wasn't right, but the car seems to have potential so I jumped. It should be here in a few days and i can't wait! here are some pictures of my 1993 Golden Bear, the best $750 car I ever bought...

Thanks! I miss that TC! I'll be sure to show off the VIII when it gets here! IF it gets here! Shipping is a hassle, but Im hoping it will be here the middle or end of next week. I talked to a guy who hauls cars who knows the seller of the car. Fingers crossed!
Here she is! I got a phone call from the hauler when he was about a half hour out asking if the seller told me it needed a battery (which he did not tell me) so i ran and got a batter from Advance Auto. Not impressed with the $150 price tag on that. I checked the fluids, aired the tires up, tossed on some three year old plates and went riding! She got filthy on the ride up so I ran it through a car wash. Runs and drives nice, but it does have a couple issues that were undisclosed and that I'm not happy about. It doesn't seem to charge well at idle if there is any load on it; the battery light flickers. I gotta bring my DVOM home from work tomorrow and see what kind of voltage it's putting out. The GD'd blend door is broken. That I'm pissed about. And the windshield washer button is wonky and super sensitive. All the accessories seem to work. Runs smooth, shifts well. All the lights seem to work, gonna go out after dark and check them all. Parking brake releases smooth. I gotta call tomorrow and set up an appointment to get it inspected so I can get title and tags. tomorrow after I look into the charging system I'm gonna call the guy I bought it from and see if I can shake some money out of him. It also needs an LOF and tire rotation to get the wheels on right.
