Well after giving it some time posted on this board.I waxed it today.Cleaned it up,Spitshined the tires,Getting it ready for ebay and was driving it around looking for a Scenic place to take pictures. Then I realize I forgot my camera.I guess it was omen.As I was getting ready to hop back in the car to go home and I sort of had a moment of clarity.I just stood there for a minute.(I know its a car but you guys know the feeling). And I thought .I have a 13 yr old car that looks and drives better then most of the cars on the street today. Its a head turner. Why the *&^% am I thinking of selling it?!!!I know why,I have a little financial issue's to deal with.Im not broke,I make decent money.Just kinda in a bind. But selling my Mark isnt the right choice. So on my way back home I figured out a way too fix my financial situation without selling any of my cars.Especially the mark.Just figured I would post it that it isnt for sale anymore.Only way I would sell it now is if I ran into a 50K one for a nice nice price.2 weeks Im replacing the UCA's Then it will be done.:D

You know, the same exact thing happened to me. At one point I was going to sell mine too. It even got to the point that I let it sit for two weeks. Then I took it out on the road again, and I just couldn't part with her. I've put too much into it. Now I am changing the interior to black. So good choice, keep your Mark. Regardless of how high the gas gets. I look at it this way, a paid for Mark fueling on 92 octane is way cheaper than the other guy fueling 92 octane and paying full coverage insurance, and paying a car payment.

I thought the same thing today, i have the car of my dreams,93 eldo N* no car payments no full coverage, why sell somthing i enjoy so much.I still can drive the 4 cyl for every day but when i need a real feel good the eldo never lets me down.THE GAS BUBBLE WILL POP!!!

Same here with the 95' I'm rebuilding. A month ago, I was about to sign it over for under 2K. I would have kicked myself in the rear for it too.

Mark (he he), My words "I will own at least one MarkVIII for the rest of my life." Even if I have to build a room on my house to store it in when the world is out of gas.

heheh hell yes.I just cant wait to not hear those damn UCA's rattling around. After I rewire all my speakers Im going to get into the beautification aspect of it.Replacing visors. That sort of thing.Gotta love it.

For me, its never been the gas, or the insurance or w/n....its the reliability. Im sure yall will chime in about how i beat it up. I dont drive like a grandma, but i dont drive like mario andretti....as much as yall think i do. Im pritty sure i got myself a lemon, but that seems to be the way with them...or so im told. either you get a good one, or a bad one.

If your worried so much about gas, look at what you have. a luxurious ride, a powerful smooth motor, wonderful sound system, looks that a hottie would kill for (plug for msm8tress, or as i call her...ms matress ;D) Crusin down the hwy with the top back and the windows down on a beautiful spring dusk, driving twards the comming darkness with the sun at your back, giving you a guiding light (making up for the headlights) with the wind wisping the worries of the world away crusing down the highway so effortlessly. Smoothly passing the seemingly nonexistant traffic at eighty. The car was built for YOU, the driver. This car is a wonder to drive. If you are looking for a car that will bring you more happiness than a mk8, i doubt you will find one anywhere. You cant get anything comprable for under 50-60k nowadays, and if you do get something that expensive youd be to worried to be happy with it. so if the mk8's **sarcasim** god aweful **sarcasim** 18city/26 (up to 32) hwy is so horrible....think of all the other wonderful features she has to offer.

$HIT, i may have talked myself into keeping mine. WTH am i thinking!

Great News... and I was going to see if Heather wanted another Mark VIII...

It's funny... Heather has been playing with the thought of turning the 93 over to our middle daughter. (She drives it more than anyone anyhow). Then while driving a POS that Heather's sister was going to sell to her. Heather realized how much more fun driving the Mark VIII can be.

Class Style Attitude.... I think it says it all....

I keep thinking of selling mine, then changing my mind. Last time I was thinking of buying a Continental...then a truck. I'd like to get a truck and KEEP the Mark, but then I'd have to get rid of the Monte Carlo.....grrr.
