Forced abortions. Mass sterilization. A “Planetary Regime” with the power of life and death over American citizens.
The tyrannical fantasies of a madman? Or merely the opinions of the person now in control of science policy in the United States? Or both?

These ideas (among many other equally horrifying recommendations) were put forth by John Holdren, whom Barack Obama has recently appointed Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, Assistant to the President for Science and Technology, and Co-Chair of the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology — informally known as the United States’ Science Czar. In a book Holdren co-authored in 1977, the man now firmly in control of science policy in this country wrote that:

• Women could be forced to abort their pregnancies, whether they wanted to or not;
• The population at large could be sterilized by infertility drugs intentionally put into the nation’s drinking water or in food;
• Single mothers and teen mothers should have their babies seized from them against their will and given away to other couples to raise;
• People who “contribute to social deterioration” (i.e. undesirables) “can be required by law to exercise reproductive responsibility” — in other words, be compelled to have abortions or be sterilized.
• A transnational “Planetary Regime” should assume control of the global economy and also dictate the most intimate details of Americans’ lives — using an armed international police force.

Obama's "Science Czar" a totalitarian eugenicist/fascist?!

Too much to post here but go to this link to see just how much of a fascist this guy truly is.

...I really, really wished that you were just posting scare-mongering bullcrap.
But you're not.
In fact, you're only scratching the surface with this guy.

Not to mention the rest of the "intellectual" administrators who are stepping forward to run our lives.

I thought 9/11 would be the generation changing event in our lives.
I was wrong.

Thats disturbing, I dont believe anyone should be "forced" to do something!

Is that the kind of "change" in government you were expecting when voting for Barrack, or do you think he might have been a little misleading during the campaign?

So he wrote a book 30 years ago about how to do population control
if it was nessesary(in his opinion).
Something more current by him would be helpful here.
What is he saying now?
Our trading partners and owners of our national debt the Chinese are already practicing some of this stuff but they're until recently a backward nation and have over a billion people.
At 300 million we're barely 4% of the world's population with plenty of open space.
At this time birth rates in the US have dropped to below replacement levels,
with immigration picking up the slack.
There is'nt the need or desire for these kind of policies here.
But "there" is not "here"
I think that in a reversal of the Bush policies some foreign aid to what used to be called poor 3rd world countries will have incentives for birth control.

Are you saying that what he said in the past isn't significant? Have you ever hired anyone without reading a resume?

What do you say to the fact that several of Obama's appointees for various cabinet positions have had to be removed from consideration for various reasons including controversial backgrounds or tax evasion issues? Does this recent Science Czar appointment fit the pattern of recklessness that Obama is demonstrating?

Does it not also disturb you that Obama is appointing all these Czars without any vetting or Congressional approval, and giving them all this massive authority without Constitutional basis?

My reason for voting for Obama was his promise to pull us from Iraq.

So we can borrow money from he Chinese or just print it and then give that money we don't have to 3rd world countries to pay for their abortions?

This is contradictory to your signature, which is a false claim to begin with.

You just love taking "pop" shots at me! How many time have you deployed? I agree with OEF, I dont agree with OIF. War on terror is a global fight, not just Iraq, WOT also includes Africa, the Phillipines, and other countries. When I deployed to Afghanistan, I had no problems with that, however, my three times in Iraq, I had some questions.

I am a recruiter, if you want to sign up, let me know.

OEF? OIF? I haven't deployed and never claimed I did. I don't think we belong in other people's country telling them what they can and cannot do. The War on Terror will never be won. Personally, I think we should be defending the country against domestic terrorist #1, or at least the sock puppet of domestic terrorist #1, depending on what your views are. These people in the Obama Administration are nothing but bad news, we have to take care of our own crap before we go anywhere else telling people what time it is.

Its never too late, if you want to sign up, just PM me. OEF (Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan) OIF (Operation Iraqi Freedom) this is not the thread to discuss this.

Ron Paul actually supported doing that. Did you support him too?
Were you really that much of a single-issue voter?

Would you have still supported him had you known what you know now?

You are missing the big point that he bought into alarmist junk science and supported totalitarian, ends-justify-the-means solutions then and there is no indication that he has changed his ways; that he doesn't by into the alarmist junk science of today and support totalitarian, ends-justify-the-means solutions to those "problems" as well. In fact, there is evidence to the contrary.

He has never renounced his previous stances and continued writing on similar alarmist topics until recently.

To ignore this or downplay it is exceedingly foolish; especially with something like the cap-and-trade bill working it's way through the legislature and a lot of the radical environmental legislation being pushed by the Obama administration including a plan basically to coerce people out of their cars!

Here is some information on another of Obama's Czar's. This time is is his "Green Jobs" Czar, Van Jones who is apparently a Communist extremist as well as having past political affiliations with anarchists and black nationalism.

Yes, I was a single issue voter, that is the only issue that matters to me. Abortion doesn't bother me, the economy will only be fixed when greedy people decide to cut into their profit, lazy people find a job, and americans stop financing houses they know they can't afford. the government only messes things up, look at the war in Iraq, Saddam had his people under control, who are we to interfere with their way of living, when at any moment the U.S is seconds away from a second "civil war".

You still didn't answer his last question. If you believe the government only messes things up, you must believe that Obama's move in the direction of government takeover of every major aspect of this country is a terrible thing.

Do you believe governments should keep their people 'under control?'

Yes I wold have still voted for him. Look at my job, the govement controls me already, but my job is the most secure also.

So you make your voting decisions based upon you immediate personal interest, nothing philosophical or concerned with long term thinking?

That seems very short sighted to me.
I can't imagine how'd you do that.

So, basically, your vote can be bought?
And I'm not saying that sarcastically- I'm really asking.

I voted for the man who was right for me, just as you voted for the person who was right for you.

I voted for the man who was right for me, just as you voted for the person who was right for you.

You've avoided my question.

I voted for the better of the two options.
The decision was based upon political philosophy and the long term strength of he country. What kind of America will I be leaving for subsequent generations. I'll vote against my personal, short term, interest. Be they based on finance or convenience.

I'm interested in understanding how you vote.

I voted for the man who was right for me, just as you voted for the person who was right for you.

What made him "right for you"? And why do you focus on who is "right for you" as opposed to who is right for the country?
