I've been searching for a obd 1 cable for my computer for a while now and all i can find is for gm does one for ford exist?

If your trying to get codes on an obd1...use a jumper wire...If you need a diagram...lemme know I'll load it up

yes for my pc i just thought it would be cool to use my laptop to get codes ive got access to the stuff for obd 2 some of the programs allow you to look at some data not a lot but some. Here is what got me looking for one for ford.

There is the same type data output in OBD-1 connector on Ford vehicles, but I tryed to search such Ford cable with no result, GM-style only.

I searched for cables separate from progs, 'cause the prof. progs are quite expensive.
Without cable you can easy read all codes and perfom 4 basic tests. With the cable and program you can watch some parameters in real-time mode (for example, may be somthing more like read the VIN...). That's all - no reprogramming or anything like that.
If You have the full professional program - it's very good, but the cables from program manufacturer are not very expensive (if you really need them). If You have only simple program - it will not work with OBD-1 (Ford EEC-IV) regardless to the cable.

Yeah you can but it looks more like the fast and furious when you use your computer!!:D:D

And now the full pinout (without instructions to "paperclip method"):
4+6 - data out (Ford interface)
5 - common wire for PCM
3 - STO (output for paperclip method)
2 - n/c
1 - fuel pump control wire
On the picture it the previous post: bottom line from left to right - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1, upper line from left to right - 6 - 5.
To connect to "real-time data" you will use 4 & 6.

That's exactly what I want to see on my computer screen going down the track!!! LOL

just save it and play it, it aint gotta be real. you think all those gauges in that 17sec honda next to you are real lol maybe its the different time zones
