What is needed to remove all the smog/ air pump equipment in front of the crank pulley on an OBD2 Mark VIII? Anything need to be turned off by chip?

what are you trying to do? Personally I wouldn't mess with anything emissions related on the car. The most I might do is eliminate the rear o2's. The cars are too damn complicated to figure out how to delete certain components because they all react off of each other.

I'm trying to install a pulley set on a 96 and the air pump and bracket are in the way...

yes, you will need a chip if you remove it. the CEL will be on.. you will have to have the thermactor pump turned off with the chip.

What if I put in the chip before the pulleys with the thermactor pump and EGR turned off by the chip but those will be still on the car for awhile until I put on the pulleys and Cobra intake. Would this cause any problems?

no, if you leave them on, they are just dead weight.. they wont do anything, so you will be fine

No, I meant if I got the chip installed with the parameters EGR and Air Pump off, would it cause any problems if I still had the EGR and air pump on my car temporarily? Basically, the ecu will think they are not there but really they will still be there until I put the Cobra intake (delete EGR) and pulleys (delete air pump). But the chip will be on the car before I put the pulleys and Cobra intake on.

It will not hurt if you keep them on the car. I ordered a chip from dennis when I first bought my car like 2 years ago... then after the motor blew I threw on kooks headers and deleted the pump all together... was gonna delete the egr but didn't. I have not thrown any codes and the car runs fine with the pump gone. dennis had already shut the pump off as well as the rear 2 o2 sensors which stayed on the car for about a year till I deleted them
