Oh man, My MVIII...I need to talk to someone who understands....

I did it, I hit this crappy Saturn of all things to hit, dong only about 35-40! Well damage doesn't LOOK to bad, but I know better. Drivers side headlight AND sidelight trashed, drvs side qtr panl bowing, door creeking, entry into the washer fluid moved up about an inch oh along with the entire plastic moulding including the light leveler (well actiually I have not found it yet). I know there is more, I just can't continue on.....Oh get this the air bags went off! BLAM blasted the crap outta me! Oh, the crappin saturn - bumper was scratched. I'm sick, talk to me guys
 
Thats too bad man.......hope your ok. You can always repair/Replace a car. Not a life. Be careful out there guys.

Very sweet of you to ask, I am fine, other than the blasted air bag marks on my arm (only left), but my baby...I am sticking a few pics in my garg.

Yeah it sucks, I just can't drop any more $$$$ into her, insurance I am not sure what they will do. She is 94 with 133, 500 on her, I have all her papers, a a year and half ago I dropped 2,500 for air ride, just pumped another 900. in her for fuel pump and was preping to get a new set of shoes. Thanks for being there..
 
:bestwishe what a crappy way to join up with LVC. Hope you get a good deal on fixin er up. DANG! 2500 for air ride! NEVER GO BACK TO THAT MECH AGAIN!

dude sorry about your car. over the summer I wrecked my 93, I put alot of money in that car and loved and had lots of plans to build it up more. then some ass ran into me and that was that. so I bought a 96 with more mods that I wanted to do to my old one. been a money pit with a new tranny and a new engine in less than a year, where as the old one lasted 2 years just about trouble free.
with all that said you paid 2500 for an air suspension? and 900 for a pump? damn you got it good in the rear. should'a joined this site or other mark boards a long time ago.. would'a saved you lots of money.
 
The air bags are what scare me the most, because they are not cheap. You need to start watching ebay for parts.

On the upside, I had worse damage last year on my 1994 mark VIII - and insurance fixed it up.

I have airbags from my 93 that I need to sell. my interior is mocha.. plus I have a good hood and the front fender isn't damaged too bad, just a few dents.

Yeah, I know, and I just found out about you guys too - in less than a week of joining, one of you good ole boys helped me out with the msg ctr stuck on doors ajar! WD that baby! thanks again - it worked! I got in the tail you got that right,wish I had the time, equip and skill to do my own repairs

Thanks for the info. yes this dudette got it in the rear, dills around here either can't work on it, and the ones that can rape ya.

I am not sure what the insurance co will do, I do know I want another. I will have to wait and see I guess. Shes still driveable, so far. Just sad, I've had her for 10 years longer than any guy! Not a hit on anyone - you guys are special :) - Debi
 
Thanks guys, I feel a bit better. thanks for the offer on the air bags - chekc out my pics - I still can't understand why they went off! Dude I butted was sweet he didn't pugh the cops so I didn't get a ticket.

claims adjuster should be cheking me soon - so I'll let ya know the diagnosis - thanks agaisee ya tomorrow, God Bless and Be safe yall - Sweet dreams - Debi

If its bad, i got a green 95 with 62k for sale, needs a jmod, and new plugs and wires. Just my plug here.
 
My friend Josh, has a driver's side air bag from a Mustang we took apart. You can use everything but the cover.
 
I feel for ya man... Always hurts to see your ride all wrinkled...
Let the insurance folks do their work... Make sure the bodyshop is reputable.
Ensure they use only FORD replacement parts... GOOD LUCK all will be cool.
Key is that your allright...

I know how you feel,I lost my CHERRY 1987 T-BIRD Turbo Coupe 5 years ago. Pics in my photo garage before and after wreck,I still miss the car,But that is how I ended up with my Mark VIII.Just be thankful for no one seriously hurt. Your car looks repairable. Good luck!!
 
I paid $42 for my front air bags at the junkyard. All you have to do is go to the nearest junkyard that allow you to pull out the parts you need for a reasonable price.

Depending on what the Insurance gives you. That amount plus parting the car could give you enough for a new Mark VIII.

When I hit the deer with mine I got back what I paid plus was able to keep the car and sell it.
