Made progress with the trans, it's out and being rebuilt but while i'm under there i'm replacing a few seals so i wont need to do this again. How would i go about lifting the engine to do the pan gasket?

Also i have a couple of electrical questions i may as well throw in, After the car is shut off and the key is removed the Computer/ Clock and radio stay on for a bit. Not completely sure how long but i went into the store and after i came back they were still on. Some of my door and seat switches dont work either, like the lock, autoglide and adjustments for the driver side only.

Does the dome light go out when you close the door? Has the alarm gone off for no reason? These are possible add-on's. It could be the door latches are sticking. The door ajar or door jam switches are tied to the door latches. Spray the hell out of them with WD-40 or similar and see if that helps. You may have to open and close the door several times to get them worked in.

It does go out but they still stay on, The previous owner did install an aftermarket radio so i should probably check the wiring behind that.

Best way to do the oil pan gasket is to use an engine support brace and drop the k member. The reason is the oil pick up tube hangs low, so you might want to wait till the transmission is in and working before taking on another big project.

How do I drop the K member safely? I kinda destroyed the back part of the gasket when i was putting in the new rear main but i would think that it would be better to do it with the trans out?

Same thing, just home made.

Once thats on and holding the engine, unbolt the suspension, brakes, power steering and k member bolts .

Okay and for the door I noticed that the command center doesn't have any data for the door. What should I check for that?

No but If I do a system check it says there's an error getting data for that door. Alot of my switches don't work either and the anti theft is kinda touchy
