oil???

i have heard that using 10w40 in a 4.6 is bad for it and i have also heard that it was good and kept the engine cooler can anybody tell me which is right

I use 5w-30 myself

5W-30 or 5W-20 is what Ford recommends for normal use. 10W-30 is alright, but the 40 may interfere with oil pressure...

mine isn,t new it,s a 95 continental i yous the 5w30 and i have 144,000 miles on my car
been yousing that since i bought the car
mobile one synthetic not shur what the guy was yousing befor me but its been running better then when i bought it
don,t think i wasn run the 0w30 from what your saying that
not for me is w20 or w30 better
