What's up LVC FAM.
OK. My 94 Mark 8 is in driving condition. I just replaced Alt. And belt, new brake lines , & new fuel pump.
Now I need advice/help on,
- Upper Ball Joint job. (How to)
- Fuel keeps saying Error. (Gauge always says full)
- rear height sensor (How to)
- Reverse lights don't turn on. (Bulbs are good)
- Windshield fluid does not spray out.

..,.....
I see the 97-98 mark 8, trunk lights always on when my friend is driving at night.
Is the 94 suppose to have the same feature ?
When I drive at night only the rear side markers /tail lights are on. Not the trunk.

Thank You for any & all ya help. Be Safe.

P.S:
This is my 1st. Lincoln Mark Viii

The Gen2 97-98 trunk has a neon light in it. My 95 Gen1 has 6 little bulbs. For all that help search threads, and you'll find the help you are looking for.

Rear height sensor- Jack up LR, locate sensor 1'~ directly behind the rotor, release both top and bottom ball studs by pressing the metal clips, unplug and reverse for install.

Control arm- http://www.lincolnsofdistinction.or...l-Arms-(Write-Up)&highlight=upper control arm

Washer fluid- Do you hear the motor whining when you press the button? If so I'd trace the hose to see if you can find any breaks in them.

Thank You. But I don't have time to search forums. I'm beyond busy with 2 jobs and 8 kids.
Just need someone to post on here. and I will check next time I'm able to.
Thank You , Be safe.
Happy Holidays.

Haaaa Haaaa. Nice one Lownslowlsc. Trust no more seeds. I'm done. LoL.
And I don't hear the any sound from wiper motor.

Would u know about the fuel error issue ?

fuel sender error will probably be a bad float gauge in the tank. or wiring.
the float is a mechanical resistance piece, it physically moves along a resistive strip, and can wear out.
years of exposure to gas fumes can make the wiring brittle. i had a fuel pump power wire go bad once, had to solder in new wiring.

that's where i would start. unfortunately, easiest way to check that i know of is to drop the tank.

I'd crawl under the drivers side front bumper and check out the reservoir and pump too make sure it's at least plugged in.

The ? about the fuel gauge reading wrong is did it read wrong before you changed pump? If it reads wrong after you did pump you messed up the float arm.
I have seen wiper pumps fail. I would find the pump disconnect wire connector and plug in volt meter to both wires and have someone press button and check to see if voltage is at connector. If power is there pump is bad. That is done after checking all fuses first.

Trunk lights and back up lights not illuminating sounds like the wires are broken at the drivers side trunk hinge..check it out and add in some wire if needed to lengthen the wires and reconnect/solder back in place.

The trunk light doesn't stay illuminated light switch is turn on. But it does flash when I pop trunk from key FOB.

@ RIGHT ON MARK
My car runs and I just put a new fuel pump in.
So I guess theirs a chance I bent the floated arm ?
Dang !!!

If fuel gauge read correct before you did pump and now does not after you did pump then yes I would say you jammed the float arm in the up position.

Front upper ball joints you'll NEED the control arm. if no longer on air ride in the front, then just order them for a 98 Thunderbird, few bucks cheaper due to the missing air ride sensor Mount

Gauge always says full because bad float assembly, retry with new pump, or reinstall yours correctly.

Rear height sensor, located the the drivers side of the differential, unplug, push little tab over, pull sensor off.
