ok as some of you know I went to my buddies shop and I wanted an aftermarket exhaust. He couldn't do a true dual setup on the car because the bending of the pipes was to advanced for what they could do. So we took off the resinator and put piping in its place and then they replaced the piping from where it V's off and they threw on some Flowmasters. At first I was like ok cool it got louder. Then I went over to Katshot's place and showed him the exhaust and he was like ummm.....well it looks nice but your car sounds like a V6 now. I was like yeah right and then my sister started up her Hyundai Sonata with the V6 and an aftermarket exhaust and damn if it didn't sound exactly the same. So I called the shop back up telling them that I wasn't happy with how the exhaust came out and as to what we could do to make it louder. The guy was like, "Well where the piping V's off there's another resinator there so we can take that off" and I was like ummm.....are you sure about that? And he said yeah so just bring it in tomorrow and we can do it. So I hung up and then I forgot to ask him if this was going to cost me anything because if it was then there was going to be a problem. So I call back up and the manager of the shop picked up and was like, "well Eddie told me what you wanted to get done and then he told you that there was another resinator where the piping V's off at the back. But thats not a resinator its a cat, so there's not lot you can do to make it any louder". So my question to you guys is, how the hell did you get your exhaust done!? I'm tired of getting the run around here and I'm getting pissed about this whole situation. So just to recap here's my exhaust setup and could you please tell me as to how I can get this thing sounding good. Stock piping, resinator goneand piping in its place, new piping from where the stock exhaust V's off and Flowmasters on each side. Please help me to get my car to sound like a V8!!!!

I told ya you should have just came to us in the first place. NJ LAW states you MUST have one cat per muffler. The middle cat is insignificant but MOST ALL shops see it as a cat and nothing more and will NOT touch it no matter what you say or show them.

We have done hundreds like this over the years.

How much of a pain in the ass is it to take it off and just throw a piece of pipe on there? But if money wasn't an issue I would have came to you, and your exhaust's sound great but at the same time I'm not looking to spend $900 for a 5-6 hp gain. The cost to increased performance ratio just is out of my price range. But how much would it cost me to bring the car to your place and get that cat taken off?

I ran two 2.5 pipes off of the front stock cats. ran the 2 pipes all the way out the back left the mufflers off, it was too quiet with the DynoMax super turbos, the cats quiet it down enough. and it sounds great you can hear what it sounds like here http://www.putfile.com/media.php?n=1994-lincoln-mark-VIII
I'm not sure if your link works or not. It brings me to the page but it just sits there and I hit play and nothing happens.

Here is what the exhaust looked like and sounded like on the AssassinVIIIor...... :Beer

Thats awesome looking! I wish I lived close to Geno's shop, I would be one of his best customers! I want his exhaust under my Mark VIII. :Beer

Geno did not do mine, I had it done at a local (local to me at the time) exhaust shop. The mufflers I purchased from Geno, but the rest I got elsewhere. :Beer
