Ok Today I Had To Replace 2 Coils..#'s 5 & 8...my Mechanic Said I Have Oil On The Plugs, And Thats Why The Boot On The Coil Tend To Get Messed Up,which Is Common For Car With Coil On Plugs..is This Right That I May Have A Leaky Valve Cover Seal..and This Is Why I Have Oil In The Area Where The Spark Plugs Go?

Just Want To Doulbe Check Before I Start Throwin Money..

Plus I Was Told It Best To Do Everything Togther Meaning Get Valve Covers Seals And Get All The Other Coils That I Havent Done..done At The Same Time While Everthing Is Open (so To Speak...)sound Like A Good Plan?

Or Should I Not Worry Too Much....

You have to take off the valve covers to change the seals, which is quite expensive labor wise... I wouldn't worry about it unless it was a large amount of oil.

My leaking bore became my thrown spark plug...related...maybe-maybe not. But it definately destroyed my MSD spark plug wire in that bore. In a COP engine it will fry the coils.

Mm, Well From The Looks For What I Saw.. I Would Say It Had Quite A Few Drops Of Oil "in The Hole " Where The Spark Plugs Go In...and When He Took Out The Broken Coil..the "wirrrey Thing" Was Also Saturated...like Whats "tooo" Much Oil Are You Saying?

swallow hard and bite the bullet. get the seals replaced. check the other coils and wires before you op for replaceling them all. how many miles on them to consider too. jd

Yes I Am Considdering Doing It All..now It A Matter $$$$$ Like Always..which Sux ...just As Things Tend To Get Just A Lil Itty Bitty Better....then U Get Hit Wit A Whammy ...well I Guess I'll Keep Ya Fella Updated!
