hey guys i was on this forum back in 08 with the same car my grandpa's 95 mark viii its been sitting seance 05-06

ok here is there story we put a new battery in it it started right up, but with some wickedly rough idle and it wouldent rev up with out shutting off. so we turned it off than the next day we go back to start. it up nothing the belt is turning but its just not starting what could it be i would really like to get this car driving

i think its the fuel pump or some kinda frozen gas line
 
If you think its the pump try spraying some carb cleaner down the throttle body and see if it runs if it does and you cant hear the pump then you have a fuel issue. But first swap the fuel pump relay with another relay in the power distribution box. Cause it could just be a relay. If that doesnt work Shoot for the pump. And dont buy some cheap ass oreily pump it will fail.
 
sounds like bad gas for starters...been sitting for 3-4yrs ran but ran rough and now wont start..is it popping or doing anything else...try holding it to the boards when cranking over
 
Holding it to the floor would turn the injector pulse off try half throttle or take the fuel filter out and inspect the condition of the fuel there. 3-4 years on a carbed car real bad but mixed with some new gas you should be able to blow it through.

put new gas in befor trying to start second time first time was with VERY little if anny maby some old vapors
its got 120,XXX miles and i dont think the pumps ever been changed so i will try the relay and then filter than get a 255 from lincolnmotorsports.com for 129.00 bucks then if that dont work maby fuel lines??

I'd say bad gas too. I'd siphon it out or drop the tank and drain it. Then I'd take off the fuel filter, and flush the line (run the pump with new fuel in the tank, and a bucket at the open line).

While the filter is off, I'd blow a little air through the schrader valve on the fuel rail to get that side of the fuel line clear as much as possible too.

Then I'd put a new filter on and change the plugs.
 
Check fuel pressure at the rail before you assume anything.
There is a schrader valve on the rail you can rent/buy a fuel pressure gauge at any auto box store.
+1 on the bad gas.
