Ok I'm Bragging but I am very proud of this girl in many ways.
The letter below was submitted to the Wisconsin State Journal by my daughter Cassie. I was surprised when I was informed by my wife that the Wisconsin State Journal had called and talked to her about Cassie's letter that she submitted.
Cassie's letter was printed in the 12/18/05 Daybreak section of the Wisconsin State Journal for the Helping Hands contest they ran. Cassie's efforts won the Jones' family a gift of $100 from the Wisconsin State Journal.
Dear Helping Hands,
There is a family I know whose home recently caught fire and burnt to the ground. The two children were at school when this occurred, so they lost everything they owned except for what they had brought to school that day. They didn't have much to begin with. The children's father doesn't work. He gets money from having served in the war. What little they had is now gone! If I was given a chance to help someone out, I would help them because everyone deserves kindness and generosity for Christmas. Sometimes horrible things happen to very nice people and it shouldn't. These people are very kind and caring. They deserve a helping hand and something they can lean on for Christmas!
