I've replaced upper radiator hose, swapped to aluminum thermostat housing, dccv, and replaced degas Bottle. I am currently running an electric fan where I (this setup is temporary and will soon be changed to a properly functioning fan system since it's starting to warm up again) have to manually turn it on. There have been 2 times I sat too long at idle without turning it on by accident enough for it to start riding above mid point on temp gauge. Both times the water pump became air locked and flooring it to about 5k rpm was enough to reverse the air lock. I'm fairly confident there is another coolant leak in the system, there seems to be a slow leak dripping down from the top and dripping to the ground around the engine and transmission mating surface. For a while I thought it was just leftover coolant I spilled in the engine bay, but it's still there after a while, Any ideas what it could be?

Theres a small coolant hose that runs under the intake they are known to dryrot and leak i would check there if you are seeing coolant where the trans and engine mate up.

FS will look at that I've taken off the intake 3 times so maybe I just didn't resecure it properly or moved it on the other side you can't see somehow one of those times

If all is well with that hose under the intake then the only other things i can think of would be the heater core drain maybe if its leaking, could be a hose loose where you replaced the degas bottle or if you have bled air out of the system recently it could be coolant from that running out the back. Its hard to say exactly what it could be without being there and seeing exactly where you are seeing coolant. If all that checks out i would take a flashlight and at nighttime crank the car and shine the light around the top of the waterpump and down where all the plastic cooling parts bolt to the engine and see if you can see any coolant leaking from any of those and running down the back of the engine.

I think you will need to let the car cool down and do some pressure testing of the coolant system.

This is what I end up curing the mystery leak with a steel braided hose with a pek clamp.the routing not seen is atrached to the ds cover threaded holes to hold then on to the throttle heater input line. The hose is a ten to fifteen minutes effort.
