Output Shaft

I'm putting a 99' 4r70w in and was wondering, will the better output shaft on the 99 make a big deference with my 4.10 gears and all the vibration or will I still need a new drive shaft?

you will still likely need a new DS.

The problem is in the length, and construction of the shaft it's self. A new output unit will do nothing to help this.

Seems like it would depend on what is causing vibration in the first place, since either or both the output shaft/driveshaft can cause vibration. You won't know until it's in, really.
