After 6 LONG years of trying EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN possible the geared Mark VIII overheating problem has been solved.

This usually occurs in hot months with 3.73 or lower geared Mark VIII's.
We tried Dexcool, 160 Tstats, Griffin Radiators, water wetter (CRAP) different water pump pullies..etc...etc.

Walt tried this stuff called 40 Below, he comes over last Month after installing it and it was 94 degrees out with terrible humidity, he ROMPS the hell out of it all the way to the shop, his gauge NEVER went above the top of the "A"?????

I could not believe what I was seeing!!! Well I just did the TerminVIIIor today and all I can say is this problem IS OVER !!!!!!!! I KILLED it 3 burnouts in a row, ripping down the highway over 90 mph for 10 minutes a clip and I could not go past the "A"! This usually puts me at the top of the "R" or higher. Hell I dont even drive the Mark hardly at all in the Summer because of this!!
I am ecstatic!!! All these years and its finally over. Thanks Walt!!!!

That stuff similar to Redline's "Water-Wetter"?

Not according to Geno...water wetter(crap)...

I tried Redline's water wetter last year and couldn't see any difference and never bothered with it after. If this new 40 below stuff is any good, it shouldn't take long to notice. I've already ordered it.

Not even close as far as I found. But this is also a Gallon Jug and the time I tried Water Wetter it was in a SMALL container barely making a dent in the system?

I use the water wetter once and it didn't change a thing at all.

This stuff "40 Below" is IONIZED water unlike ANYTHING out there of this type.

Also the KEY to this working is Etylene Glycol antifreeze and the rest DISTILLED WATER.

I used the following:
1 Gallon "40 Below"
1 Gallon Etylene Glycol antifreeze
2 Gallons of DISTILLED WATER.

Distilled being the KEY!

AMAZING! I am beyond thrilled, I just got back with the Wife just 10 minutes ago from ACME food shopping and we were KILLING the TerminVIIIor about 5 different times and it reached the MIDDLE of the A!!!!!!

ITS THE HOLY GRAIL!

It won't take but 10 minutes to notice it. Just MAKE DAMN SURE YOU BURPED THE SYSTEM FULLY!!!!!!!!

Pep Boys is the cheapest I have found it so far at $14.99 per Gallon.

How do you put distilled water in? you'd have to flush out the system with it right? or can you use reg tap water to flush out then them all?

From the Coolflex site...

Directions: Drain radiator completely (the water and antifreeze in the engine will not drain out). Fill radiator with 2 cans of 40 Below and 60/40 water/antifreeze mix (use distilled water if possible). Start engine. Make sure thermostat opens and system is full and free of air. Go for a 15 minute ride.

Note: The above procedure is designed to create a mixture of approximately 80% distilled water, 20% ethylene glycol anitfreeze and 2 cans of 40 Below which provides the best cooling results.

lucky guy u are, no wonder u like to drive it :p

but i feel left out... mine never overheats and i got 90 degree weather on top of 60% humidity

umm like 3.73 gears?

sry if i dont understand the stuff under the hood yet, im getting ready to go to a school to get more knowledge.

i can't believe no one has tried that yet
we use it , sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't
i have yet to experience the mark's cooling problems even with 4.10's and a converter that just seems to flash at 2500 all the time it usually runs pretty cool

i tried 40 below yrs ago on my 95 cougar that would get a little hotter then suppose to in the summer.......only lasted for a couple of weeks......temps went down after i installed a trans cooler. there was a guy in desoto, tx that had a 96 mk8 that had a temp problem also..had 4.10. he tried every thing the GENO just bout tried even a tranc cooler.......i dont know if he ever fixed it......use to go by the name CASPER on the other site......

I'll have to check this stuff out. Perhaps it's results are more prominent in an all-aluminum engine(block/heads). It didnt do ANYTHING in our cast iron race engines, although Redline's water-wetter provided the same results Geno is enthusiastic about with the 40 below.

From my experience, 40 below doesnt do a darn thing in an iron engine, where water-wetter excells. perhaps the tables are turned in an all-aluminum motor.

Glad you are able to drive the car year round now, without having to study the temp guage 24/7. Nothing worse than having to drive as if you are flying a jet aircraft...as far as guages.

Dose it still have enough ethylene glycol in it to keep the water in the system from freezing ( keep in mind where I live) ?

I would think that the mixture of antifreeze in it would keep everything from freezing.

just cuz there is "antifreeze" in it dose not mean it wont freeze at a certen point, i was wondering if there was enough in there to handel -40 below?

do your marks really over heat like that, I never had a problem, my friend was alittle high, but in my two marks I have never ran into a cooling problem, I always saty in the A and M in traffic
