I was scanning the LS tonight with my the Blue Driver App and It’s reading the P1246 code ...Would this be all my problems and issues in a Nut Shell...the alternator is going out..... after the Code came up all of a sudden the DTC on dash said Check Charging System ...if I know anything about the LS it’s this .....the car needs adequate voltage ...would this effect my COP’s I would imagine it would definitely play a major role in there performance ...made an appointment to put a new Alternator in on Thursday along with changing out valve cover gaskets and new fuel injectors will have them check out timing chains also ...Any thoughts on the P1246 and it’s effects on my issues? would this also effect the MAF sensor? For the record ....Ford calls it a generator...I’m old school and say alternator

All alternators are generators. Not all generators are alternators.
It's possible this is the origin of your problems, but unlikely.
