Paint Experts help. Silevr frost or silver metalic frost?

Ok Im posting this up here rather then the LS section cause A it would get more all around attention and B its a Ford question in general.

Im looking for my paint code. Its TS ( sliver metallic frost ) and I can find a 12.5 oz can at paintscratch.com but after taking over a week to process the order I bailed on it.

I have been searching around at NAPA and Car Quest and so far I found that NAPA can order in TS but Duplicolor calls it Silver Frost and they dont specify if its a tri coat with metallic. Should I be concerned about that or would it be what Im looking for?

Lookin at other places when I see silver in Krylon and such I noticed that they do indeed specify if its a metalic paint ( but I cant find my factory match, just the household stuff ) so that makes me worry.

Also, Car Quest has it from Plasticoat ( in stock ) which I always thought was Duplicolor but they label TS as silver metallic pearl

when i painted my grill, eyebrows, factory skirts, and rear surround i went to this paint shop right down the street from my house and they took my paint code and put it in an aresol can for me. actually it was 3 cans cus i have a tricoat but that might be an idea. it was like 22 dollars a can but it matched my ivory pearl dead on. if you want i can get you there number and you might be able to order from them or maybe just ask them about the product.

Ha, I just did that with my etching primer. Duh, Im on my way to the shop I got that from and see what they can do.

Ok, now Im being told its not a tri coat. Someone is telling me it just has frost tossed in to sound exotic and Ford does not do tri coats.

I dont believe the guy. So, any of you Ford guys that now paint wanna chime in?

i can tell you mine was definatly a tri coat so ford does do them im not sure about urs. they used my paint code to make the paint. i will call the place i got my paint from and see what they tell me

i confirmed with my guy thats its just a 2 stage. 22 a can for your color and 16 a can for the clear. he doesnt ship but if you have any questions for him his number is 520-294-6555. place is called rays

Yeah, I been waiting to figure out what the deal is. I can get it from the guys that gave me my primer for 16$.

I guess thats what I'll do but thanks man, Thats a cool offer!
